Biography
Alois Hanuš, born in 1919, came from a family whose values were rooted in resilience, and he carried those values into the wartime years. His commitment to the rightness of freedom drove him to do what he could to resist the occupation that had come upon his homeland.
In 1944 he took part in the efforts to restore hope and dignity to the region, sharing the burdens of his compatriots even as the fighting intensified. He was laid to rest in Bayeux War Cemetery, where his memory endures as a symbol of the quiet heroism of those who stood against tyranny.
