Biography
Alois Josef Krakovský z Kolovrat (1759–1833) was a devoted Catholic priest who served the Church during a period of significant religious and political change in Central Europe. He spent his ecclesiastical career in Prague, one of the most important Catholic centers in the Habsburg lands.
His final resting place in St. Vitus Cathedral, the magnificent Gothic cathedral at Prague Castle, reflects the respect and honor accorded to him by the Church. Krakovský z Kolovrat's long life of religious service spanned nearly seventy-five years of devoted pastoral work.
