Alpheus Harding

Alpheus Harding, born in 1818, spent his life supporting the people of the Silver Lake region with a steady hand and a patient heart. Though the particulars of his vocation may have gone unrecorded, his neighbors remembered a man devoted to keeping his household and community grounded through decades of change.

When he passed in 1903, he left behind a legacy of quiet dependability and was laid to rest at Silver Lake Cemetery, where his memory remains tied to the landscape he cherished.
