Lysander Fay, born in 1805, lived through an era when Silver Lake and its surrounding countryside grew in both industry and hope. He was known locally as a thoughtful neighbor who took pride in shaping a respectful life in the small lake community.

When he passed in 1881, friends and family remembered his quiet commitment to the rhythms of daily work and the friendships that sustained him. He was interred at Silver Lake Cemetery, where his enduring legacy of character still speaks to the people of the area.
