Biography
Anna Hyatt Huntington's innate ability to capture the spirit of animals and public figures made her a leading sculptor of the early twentieth century; her bronzes, from graceful hunters to stirring equestrians, combined vigorous realism with lyrical motion and found homes in public spaces and galleries alike.
Alongside her husband Archer Huntington she dedicated herself to arts education and preservation, founding Brookgreen Gardens and supporting numerous cultural institutions, leaving an artistic and philanthropic legacy that continues to inspire visitors and artists.
