Anna Sheldon

Biography

Anna Sheldon (1749–1823) lived seventy-four years, witnessing the American Revolution and the development of the young nation. Her long life connected the colonial period with the early nineteenth century, spanning a transformative era in American history.

Sheldon was laid to rest in the Old North Cemetery, where she is remembered as part of the enduring community of those who shaped early American life.
