Biography

Anne Marie Caroline Parent du Châtelet (1792–1837) was a French noblewoman of the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. She occupied a place in Parisian aristocratic society during a transformative period in French history, witnessing the aftermath of the Revolution and the establishment of the Napoleonic era and Restoration.

Her life reflected the complexities of nobility during this tumultuous age, as old families navigated changing social and political circumstances. She was interred at Père Lachaise Cemetery, the prestigious burial ground that became the final resting place for many distinguished members of French society.
