Annmary Brown

Biography

Annmary Brown (1837–1903) devoted her life to the cultivation of art and letters, a passion that led to the creation of the Annmary Brown Memorial, which serves Brown University with a museum and reading room.

By gathering rare books, prints, and mementos from around the world she fashioned a space that continues to inspire reflection and scholarship in Providence.
