Biography
Anton de Padua Joseph Thun-Hohenstein was a member of the illustrious Thun-Hohenstein family, one of the most influential aristocratic families in the Bohemian lands. Born in 1754, he lived through a period of profound historical change, witnessing the transformation of Central European society.
As a nobleman of considerable standing, Thun-Hohenstein's life exemplified the privileges and responsibilities of the Austrian aristocracy. He was laid to rest in the Thun-Hohenstein Vault in Děčín-Chrást, the family's ancestral burial place.
