Born in 1835, Ladislaus Graf von Thun und Hohenstein followed in his family's tradition of public service, striving to balance regional loyalties with the broader needs of the empire as he sat in political councils.
He remained engaged with his constituents until around the time of his death in 1887, and he now reposes in the Thun-Hohenstein Vault in Děčín-Chrást.
