Antonín Brandner

Biography

Antonín Brandner, born in 1823, pursued architecture with meticulous care and sought to bring dignity to the streets of Prague. His designs often married classical proportions with practical considerations, crafting buildings that endured both time and use.

He welcomed apprentices and shared his knowledge generously, leaving behind a generation of builders who respected his exacting standards. His final rest at Olšany Cemetery is a fitting place for a man whose constructions still stand as monuments to his steady vision.
