Biography

Antonín Peterka was born in 1892 and spent his formative years in Brno during the final decades of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. He witnessed the emergence of the Czechoslovak nation and contributed to the life of his community throughout the twentieth century.

Peterka died in 1965 and was interred in Brno Central Cemetery. His life represents the experiences of those who lived through one of Europe's most transformative periods.
