Biography
Josef Nimráček was born in 1902 in Brno, growing up in the final years of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and coming of age as Czechoslovakia was being established. He lived through the interwar period, World War II, and the early years of communist rule, witnessing profound transformations in his native Moravia.
Nimráček died in 1953 at the age of 51. He was buried in Brno Central Cemetery, where he rests among generations of residents who shaped and endured the turbulent history of twentieth-century Central Europe.
