Biography

Arkady Voyevodsky (1813–1879) was a Russian figure whose life extended through much of the nineteenth century. His sixty-six years encompassed the reigns of Alexander I, Nicholas I, and Alexander II, witnessing profound transformations in Russian society and culture.

Voyevodsky was interred in Smolenskoye Orthodox Cemetery, reflecting his standing in Russian society. His long life and respectful burial place indicate his contributions to the intellectual or cultural life of nineteenth-century Russia.
