Biography

August von Lützow (1795–1872) was a distinguished art collector whose passion for artistic treasures contributed to the cultural heritage of nineteenth-century Central Europe. His dedication to preserving and appreciating fine art reflected the aesthetic values of the Romantic era.

Lützow's memory is preserved at the Central Cemetery in Karlovy Vary, where he was interred following his death in 1872. He is remembered as a patron of the arts whose collection and advocacy advanced cultural appreciation in his region.
