Biography
Eduard Hlawaczek, born in 1808, devoted himself to writing about the spa towns and cultivated society that he encountered, using his prose and journalism to share the charms and intellectual currents of Karlovy Vary with a wider audience.
He passed in 1879 and is buried at the Central cemetery in Karlovy Vary, where visitors recall the insightful voices that once described the town’s tranquil springs.
