Biography
Barend Veenendaal was a young resistance fighter who courageously opposed Nazi occupation during World War II. Despite his youth, he committed himself to the dangerous and vital work of the Dutch resistance, demonstrating remarkable bravery in the face of overwhelming odds.
He was only 26 years old when he died in 1945, having given his life for his country's freedom. His sacrifice is honored at Ede Memorial Cemetery, where he is remembered as a hero of the resistance movement.
