Belle L. Pettigrew (1839–1912) lived through times of great national upheaval yet remained a calm, nurturing presence whose tenderness lifted countless families in her circle.

Her warmth and encouragement continued to echo in the Woodlawn community even after she entered eternal rest in Woodlawn Cemetery beside those who shared her devotion to others.
