Biography
Benjamin Daydon Jackson was a botanist and bibliographer whose meticulous work on plant nomenclature, as librarian to the Linnean Society and editor of reference works, provided a foundation for later taxonomists.
He died in 1927 and was remembered for the clarity he brought to botanical nomenclature; his cremation at Golders Green Crematorium closed a life devoted to science and scholarship.
