Biography

Benjamin T. Kissam was a resident of New York during the nineteenth century who lived through a period of rapid urban development and social change. He maintained his place within his community and witnessed the transformation of the region throughout his lifetime.

Kissam was laid to rest at Flushing Cemetery, a place of honor for the area's respected citizens. His life spanned more than eighty years of American history and progress.
