Bertie Cooper

Biography

Bertie Cooper was an accomplished Australian rules football player who competed during the early years of the twentieth century. His contributions to the sport reflected the passion and athleticism that characterized Australian football during this period.

Cooper made the ultimate sacrifice during the First World War, and his memory is preserved at the Villers–Bretonneux Australian National Memorial in France, where he is honored among the thousands of Australians who gave their lives in service.
