Biography

Bob Davis (1920-2011) grew up in a world shaped by economic challenge and global conflict, yet he met every test with practical optimism and a firm belief in collective effort. After years in service, he applied the discipline he learned to neighborhood improvement projects and encouraged others to participate in civic life.

He loved telling tales of early military adventures, but he was equally proud of watching younger relatives take up leadership roles and of the friendships that sustained him. Arlington National Cemetery now honors the man who combined duty with warmth.
