Boniface Wimmer

Biography

Boniface Wimmer was born in 1809 in Bavaria and answered a lifelong religious calling by establishing a Benedictine presence that anchored the spiritual life of his adopted homeland. His leadership, humility, and vision guided countless faithful and shaped an enduring spiritual community.

He was laid to rest in Saint Vincent Cemetery after a long life of devotion, where pilgrims still reflect on how his work continues to inspire service and learning.
