Caleb D. Kinner

Biography

Caleb D. Kinner (1823–1908) was a lifelong participant in the rhythms of his town, tending both to the land and to the friendships that anchored the Meeting House Hill neighborhood. Those who knew him recall a person of pride in craftsmanship and a willingness to lend a hand when hardship touched a neighbor.

Kinner now rests at Meeting House Hill Cemetery, where the stone bearing his name invites visitors to reflect on a generation of determined, community-minded citizens.
