Biography
Born in Indiana, Carl G. Fisher shaped the early automobile age by helping to build the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the first coast-to-coast road, the Lincoln Highway, giving thousands of motorists new freedom.
His drive extended into Florida, where he transformed a barrier island into the world-famous resort of Miami Beach, and his legacy as an innovator in transportation and real estate continues to inspire those who visit Crown Hill Cemetery.
