Biography
Carl L. Sitter dedicated his adulthood to the United States Marine Corps, leading men with steady courage through the harrowing nights of the Korean War and earning the nation’s highest military decoration for his fearless leadership in the face of concentrated enemy fire.
He remained involved with the Marine community long after his retirement, sharing lessons of service and sacrifice with younger officers and honoring the memories of those who served alongside him before finding his final rest at Arlington National Cemetery.
