Biography
Carmine Fatico spent his life in the shadows of New York’s organized crime scene, where he was long associated with the Gambino family and its efforts to survive amid changing times. Within that clandestine world he was seen as a steady hand, often referred to as a mentor to younger members.
Later years found him a quieter figure, yet those who watched the city’s darker currents remembered his role in preserving a complex chapter of history. He rests at St. John Cemetery, where his story remains part of the city’s layered past.
