Biography
Caroline Still Anderson overcame the barriers of her time to become a physician, bringing lifesaving care to underserved families and advocating for public health in communities that desperately needed a compassionate advocate. She balanced a demanding medical practice with mentorship of young women and quiet leadership in civic circles.
Anderson also championed educational opportunities and temperance, believing that wellness encompassed both mind and body and that every child deserved access to learning and a healthy environment. Eden Cemetery holds her memory, along with the gratitude of patients and neighbors who knew that she had devoted her life to healing and uplift.
