Biography
Cary Travers Grayson served as both an accomplished physician and a senior naval officer, becoming President Woodrow Wilson’s personal physician during a tumultuous period. His medical skill and calm demeanor earned him trust in the White House and among the sailors he led.
As Surgeon General of the Navy, he guided naval medicine through the First World War and helped ensure the readiness and care of naval personnel in war and peace.
