Biography

Charles A. White helped to nurture the growing neighborhood around Woodlawn through his attention to detail and a kindly curiosity about every new family while believing that a well-tended garden and thoughtful conversation were both necessary foundations for a thriving community.

When troubles appeared he was among the first to organize help, and Woodlawn Cemetery now keeps him company with others who shaped the district as he rests in peace.
