Charles Davis Jameson

Biography

Charles Davis Jameson, born in 1827, answered the call to serve as a military officer during the Civil War, and he earned the respect of his regiment for his calm determination and caring for the men he led. He carried his duties with a seriousness rooted in deep patriotism.

He died in 1862 while in service, and those who followed his example honored him with burial at Riverside Cemetery, mindful of the sacrifice he made for the nation.
