Charles DeRudio

Biography

Charles DeRudio, born in 1832, carried the ideals of liberty with him from Europe to America, joining the U.S. military as a dedicated officer and serving with honor at a time when the nation sought steady leadership.

He remained devoted to his comrades, sharing stories and inspiration, and the San Francisco National Cemetery now marks his place among fellow patriots.
