Biography
Born in 1889, Charles H. Corlett rose through the ranks of the United States Army, moving from early border duties to command of the 34th Infantry Division and later the XIV Corps, bringing steady leadership to the Pacific campaigns of World War II and overseeing occupation efforts in Japan.
After retiring, he remained deeply involved with the officer corps, counseling young leaders and supporting veterans' causes, a lifetime of loyalty honored by his resting place at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
