Charles Marsh Mead

Biography

Charles Marsh Mead embraced learning from a young age, encouraging libraries, apprenticeships, and the pursuit of new ideas as the community matured during the later nineteenth century.

He spent his later years mentoring youth, welcoming friends for thoughtful conversation, and preserving the gentle civility of a bygone era before being buried at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
