Biography
Charles R. Farnsley brought his deep affection for Louisville to City Hall, where as mayor he championed the arts, libraries, and neighborhood renewal while earning praise for his vibrant speeches and insistence on inclusive progress.
Later he represented Kentucky in Congress, wrote movingly about civic life, and continued to mentor young leaders before finding his final rest at Cave Hill Cemetery, leaving a legacy of civic friendship.
