Charles Tennant transformed a small chemical enterprise into one of Scotland’s great industrial houses, pioneering large-scale production of bleaching powder and creating employment across the Glasgow region.
He matched his business acumen with philanthropy, investing in civic improvements and helping to uplift the city whose Necropolis now shelters his memory.
