Biography
Clifford Bax was a prolific writer whose plays, essays, and translations enriched British theatre and literary criticism across the first half of the twentieth century. Comfortable in lyric verse as well as dramatic dialogue, he placed imaginative storytelling at the heart of cultural conversations and encouraged new voices in the arts.
His lifelong devotion to literature and the stage lives on in the attendees who continue to gather in memory of his work, with his cremation recorded at Golders Green Crematorium.
