Biography

Cornelius Burnham Harvey (1839–1902) brought his background in finance to public service, becoming Governor of New Jersey and promoting measures to modernize the state’s schools and infrastructure.

Even as he carried the responsibilities of the executive office, he remained engaged with the communities that had shaped him and the charitable causes that mattered most to them.
