Dabney H. Maury

Biography

Dabney H. Maury (1822-1900) served as an officer in the Confederate military during one of the most tumultuous chapters of American history and afterward translated his sense of duty into pursuits that benefited his neighbors.

He rests at Fredericksburg Confederate Cemetery, and visitors there remember the discipline and resolve he demonstrated in both service and civilian life.
