Biography

Daniel Bendann arrived in Baltimore and, together with family, founded the Bendann Brothers studio, one of the city's defining portrait houses, capturing dignified likenesses for political, military, and business leaders.

He championed the artistry of photography, mentored younger practitioners, and ensured his craft also supported cultural institutions and charitable causes, leaving Baltimore with an enduring visual heritage.
