Daniel Hand

Biography

Daniel Hand (1801-1891) saw the tide of the nineteenth century rise and fall along the Hammonasset shore, steadfastly shepherding his family and neighbors through moments of change.

Though his name seldom appears in print, the quiet labor of his hands and the friendships he nurtured remain a cherished part of the Hammonasset Cemetery community where he rests.
