Daniel W. Marmon

Biography

Daniel W. Marmon was born in 1844 and guided Nordyke, Marmon & Company through decades of industrial innovation, producing milling machinery and later embracing the growing automotive field, all while insisting on care for his workers and the communities they served. His commitment to progress made him a natural leader in Indianapolis industry.

He rests at Crown Hill Cemetery, where his contributions to manufacturing and civic improvement are remembered alongside the many other builders of Indiana society.
