Danjo Ebina was a prominent pastor and religious leader in Meiji and Taishō Japan, born in 1856. He was instrumental in the development of Christian theology and practice in Japan, serving as a bridge between Western Christian traditions and Japanese spiritual culture.
Ebina's pastoral ministry and theological contributions left a lasting impact on Japanese Christianity. He lived until 1937, witnessing the transformation of Japanese society across multiple decades, and was buried at Tama Cemetery as a respected religious figure.
