David P. Thompson

Biography

David P. Thompson (1834–1901) helped shape the flourishing communities of the Pacific Northwest through his business ventures and civic leadership, serving the people of Oregon with clear purpose and progressive ideals. He believed that thoughtful development and concern for neighbors could lift entire regions into brighter days.

He rests at River View Cemetery, where the view he cherished now carries on in the landscape he helped build.
