David Remez, born in 1886, was a leading voice in the Zionist movement who helped steer the emerging state’s public life with steadfast conviction. As Israel’s first Minister of Transportation and an advocate for workers’ rights, he endeavored to create infrastructure that would unite and uplift the nation.
