Dennis Miller Bunker (1861–1890) was a gifted American painter whose luminous landscapes earned him admiration for their poetic brushwork and sensitivity to light. Educated in Boston and Paris, he carried the vibrancy of the French impressionists into the New England countryside while continually refining a distinct personal voice.

Though his life was all too brief, his artistic legacy endures, and the peace of Milton Cemetery now marks the final resting place of a soul devoted to rendering the world’s quiet beauty.
