Biography
Dick Sisler followed his love for baseball from the sandlots to the major leagues, most famously delivering the pennant-winning home run for the 1950 Philadelphia Phillies and later contributing as a reliable infielder.
After his playing days, he guided generations of hitters with patience and experience for teams including the Phillies and Houston Astros, and his steady leadership is fondly remembered by the community near Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
