Biography

Don Marquis won national esteem as a humorist and poet whose columns introduced Archy and Mehitabel, playful characters that reflected on the human condition with wit and heart.

Beyond his satire he championed humane causes, mentored younger writers, and delighted in the natural world and the friendships he forged, and he lies at Maple Grove Cemetery.
