Biography

Kate Claghorn earned acclaim as a pioneering sociologist whose research on immigrants, labor, and women's work helped shape early twentieth century discussions of social welfare and public policy.

She taught, advised reform organizations, and urged data-driven solutions to poverty, leaving students and colleagues grateful for her generosity before being laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery.
