Biography

Ed Bolden, born in 1881, was a visionary baseball owner whose leadership of the Hilldale Club and other endeavors helped define the Negro leagues and created lasting opportunities for Black ballplayers.

He now lies in Eden Cemetery, where fans and historians alike honor his courage in advancing the game and its players.
